The Rago Arts and Auction Center is an international leader in modern design, patronized by such great interior designers as Juan Montoya, Amy Lau and Alexander Gorlin. Each auction includes furnishings; ceramics, glass, and other decorative art; lighting and fine art. Rago's champions studio work from craftsmen George Nakashima, Paul Evans and Wharton Esherick to ceramics by Gertrude and Otto Natzler and Peter Voulkos to metalwork by Albert Paley. It is also responsible for the resurgence of interest in furniture by interior designers including Tommi Parzinger, James Mont and Paul Laszlo. Much of the most important Modern design to come to auction has been sold by Rago's.

Who We Are

David Rago

At the age of sixteen, David Rago began dealing in American decorative ceramics at a flea market in his home state of New Jersey. Today, he oversees the auction house that bears his name, publishes two quarterly magazines on 20th c. design and sells privately in the field. He is an author who lectures nationally and an expert appraiser for the hit PBS series, Antiques Roadshow, where he specializes in decorative ceramics and porcelain. Read more...

Suzanne Perrault

Suzanne Perrault heads the Rago Arts and Auction Center’s Cataloguing Department and co-directs its sales of 20th//21sT Century Design. She and partner David Rago are also private dealers, appearing at antique shows nationally and receiving clients by appointment.
