Marilyn Cooperman began her career in fashion and then as Editor and Chief at Simplicity and Vogue patterns. She clearly had a good sense for design and the details of construction. Through her friendship with Fred Leighton, she began reworking period jewelry at his Madison Avenue boutique. In 1994, she launched her own company. Her collection features several iconic forms including the paisley drop brooch which has been created with a variety of palettes. Marilyn passed away on August 19, 2020. She leaves behind a legacy of vibrant jewelry meant to embolden the woman who wears them.
