Silvio Hidalgo launched his eponymous jewelry business in New York City in 1983 with a singular item as his focus: the ring. Formerly trained in computer engineering, the Cuban-born jeweler constantly sought to foster innovation and invention at every turn. Hidalgo established his name early on by applying his ingenuity to the enamel band ring, offering many new and stackable iterations that allowed the wearer to create their own story and style with each added ring. This modern take on the charm craze of the 1950s and 1960s was wildly popular, and Hidalgo continued to add hundreds of new designs every year. Set mostly in 18k gold, often with with micro pavé for a dressier look, Hidalgo rings continue to appeal today with a rainbow of colors, wide range of designs, and splendid versatility.
