Sculptor and goldsmith, Giorgio Facchini began his craft by working for a goldsmith as a child in Fano, Italy. From this small city on the Adriatic Sea, he went on to study at the Academy in Venice and found his footing with sculptural jewelry. During the 1960s, he gravitated toward Spatialism. Later his work included movement and he became known for his kinetic jewelry. He successfully caught the eyes of Pierre Cardin, who invited the young Facchini to his Paris catwalk project. Facchini has won numerous awards including first prize at the 6th Biennale d’Arte Del Metallo, Gubbio in 1971. Today, he continues to create works deeply rooted in the modernist trends of the 70s and 80s and his works are collected by patrons across the globe.
