Gallen Benson is a self-taught jeweler who has been working in the field for over thirty years and earned an international reputation for his intricate enamels. He studied fine art and sculpture and, using his knowledge as a foundation, taught himself the processes of cloisonne, carving and precious metal casting. Benson deploys his skills as a master enamelist, goldsmith, and sculptor to create innovative designs that combine antique and modern elements that are both technically and aesthetically breathtaking. His work is held in the Smithsonian American Art Museum and countless private collections.
