The present lot was made in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s 1953 coronation and holds special significance in the year 2022. Queen Elizabeth acceded the throne in 1952 following the death of her father, making this year her Platinum Jubilee, which celebrates 70 years of service to her people. She is the first British monarch to reach this important milestone. Charm bracelets such as the present lot were also made in silver, but precious few gold examples have survived.
