Multi-talented jeweler and artist Margaret Barnaby grew up in New England and studied at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design. After graduating with a BFA in sculpture, she undertook a special study of the repoussé technique at Reed and Barton in Taunton, MA before moving on to graduate studies with American master metalsmith John Prip from 1970-71. Over her 30-year career she has been a jeweler, sculptor, painter, and, more recently, printmaker. Barnaby now lives and works in the town of Volcano, Hawai’i, finding endless inspiration in the nature that surrounds her.

The natural world around me has always been the starting point of my work, whether it be jewelry, paintings or prints.
