A unique feature of the Seiko 6138-0030 is the square hour and minute registers, hence its nickname “kakume,” Japanese for “square eyes.” Together with the 6139 series, this iconic reference was the first fully integrated automatic chronograph featuring column wheels and vertical coupling mechanism.
