According to the ‘City of Florence Commercial and Industrial Annual Report’ (Annuario Commerciale e Industriale di Firenze) dating from 1869, the jewelry firm of Nicola Marchesini had branches in Rome and in Florence. Later, they were recorded as ‘Court Jewelers” and their business was still flourishing in 1900. One of their specialties was antique Etruscan Revival jewelry.
