Artist, metalsmith, and jeweler So Young Park grew up near the ocean in South Korea. As a child, she used to play with plants, shells, pebbles, and sea life and got fascinated with their pattern, texture, and colors. In her jewelry creations, Park expresses her interest in nature and her attention to its ever-changing life cycle in rebirth. Since 2001, Park lives in the United States, where she completed her education in metalsmithing. Currently, she runs her own studio and actively participates in national and international shows and exhibitions.
