Camille Fauré (1874-1956) is remembered as the most celebrated French enamellist of the Art Deco period. Working out of Limoges, he created elaborate three-dimensional geometric designs and his colorful floral designs became his distinctive style. His participation in the 1925 Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs et industriels modernes established his prominence, which continues today with his work in major museums including Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, the Corning Museum of Glass, and the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York.
