This bowl was among a group of works made by Toshiko Takaezu on December 15, 1995 in master ceramicist Shiho Kanzaki's studio in Shigaraki, Japan. The works were fired in his anagama in February 1996 and subsequently shipped back to Toshiko in New Jersey.
