Jaclyn Davidson is a New York-based studio jeweler and sculptor. Armed with a master's degree in fine art from Kent State University, she embarked on her journey as a jewelry designer and instructor in the 1970s. After a brief stint crafting jewelry in Israel, she returned to the United States, launching her jewelry brand in 2004.
Renowned for infusing narratives into her jewelry designs—and drawing inspiration from nature, architecture, folklore, and more—Davidson’s works have “a life of their own” beyond mere adornment. Her wearable creations, from unique works to limited editions, showcase her mastery in myriad materials, including 18-karat gold, sterling silver, and milled steel, as well as her aptitude for varied techniques from hand-forging and lost wax casting to gold and silver overlays and enamelling.
Examples of her work are held in the collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Renwick Gallery. Davidson’s jewelry has also been featured in publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle and worn by celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Jessica Alba, and Gigi Hadid.
